I was born in Govan, Glasgow, and studied art part time in the early sixties. After many years in engineering and oil and gas, I have at last returned to my true passion of drawing and painting and now work as a full time artist in the north east of Scotland.

I enjoy producing pictures of a realistic nature of various subjects, but mostly of engineering, maritime and urban scenes. My previous life in technical publications has given me a passion for detail and structure which I now combine with my fascination of light both natural and artificial.

Most if my work is carried out in acrylics, pen and ink, occasionally drifting into oils and pastels for landscapes and portraiture.
